This experiment explores the ability of form to become a meaningless, open resource able to be appropriated in many different projects –as the visual ‘code’ of a generic building. By synthesizing some of the trending formal solutions that stand out in the contemporary architectural scene, the aim of the experiment is to generate a contingent taxonomy of the global style that silently influences architectural production today.
A template for the experiment can be downloaded here.
Each student should synthesize two open resources in the form of a black and white square diagram, a text of 150-180 words and three pictures of three buildings which have used the analyzed resource.
The experiment has to be presented in two formats:
BLOG// A post containing a single JPEG with the diagram, the text and the three pictures according to the template. Size: [1120 pixels width / 800 pixels height].
OWLSPACE// A high-quality JPEG: [2100 pixels width / 1500 pixels height].
