Flattened Nebulas

Through widespread use and access of the internet, the digital age has centered itself on communication and aestheticization of information, necessitating that architecture redefine its formal role, its physical articulation and representational reception. Digital access demands that architecture be continuously displayed and evolution of formal strategies is relentlessly updated exposed through their dissemination via social media. The circulation of images and their increasing importance in the digital age must be emphasized in order to recognize lack of direction in the future of architecture concerning the flattening of the built work and spatial relationships resulting from a jump in translation between the image and architecture.
